I was so happy to finally purchase the starter bundle from SS. I have been following Amanda on IG for a while and I am so happy to support her work! Everything came nicely packaged and protected. I am a week into my sourdough journey, and I just made my first successful loaf! I have also made focaccia, super fluffy pancakes, and tasty crackers with the discard. My feedback is for the instruction card to be a little bigger. I also wish it was a little easier to understand. It's not super difficult, but for someone who is extremely new to this, some things just didn't make sense right away and I had to spend A LOT of extra time finding answers. I also think a bigger card would a lot the details to be better written out/organized instead of heavy blocks of text. I also thought the wooden spoon would be bigger/longer but not the end of the world. It just would've been helpful considering the size of the main jar. Again, I did have to spend a lot of extra time looking for more information in dealing with my starter questions, consistency problems, shaping issues, etc. I did follow most of the instructions, but I also faced some issues and had to look elsewhere for help. I wish there was a FAQ card included along with card that included common mistakes and concerns that newbies have. Last thing, it would have been a really nice reminder to not to wash doughy-hands/tools in the sink LOL (Thankfully I figured it out early on and I'll consider it as a right-of-passage into my sourdough era. Despite all my critiques and feedback, I still recommend Eden and encourage others to also support Amanda for her work!
